Senior Healthcare Support Worker
Senior Healthcare Support Worker – Ophthalmology Eye Centre Team
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our Ophthalmology Eye Centre Team in a nursing capacity.
About the Role
- Perform a blend of clinical and non-clinical duties, as delegated by the senior team
- Experience in a healthcare environment is desirable, with the opportunity to work towards completion of the SVQ 3 (Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3) programme
- Must demonstrate excellence in teamwork and possess strong communication skills
- Genuine interest required in working within a busy Ophthalmology department
- The role involves rotational shifts across areas such as:
- Pre-operative/post-operative care
- Operating theatres
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out delegated clinical and administrative tasks
- Assist in patient preparation, recovery, and care following procedures
- Contribute to a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain computer systems knowledge as part of daily duties
- Participate in mandatory and rotational training programs
- Uphold Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland
- Strict adherence to Code of Conduct throughout employment
