Job Title: Senior HR Advisor

Department: HR Partnering & Advisory

Reporting to: Senior HR Business Partner

Location: Telford, TF3 4NT

We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join our team in Telford. This is a full-time, hybrid role, working 35 hours per week (2-3 days in office per week).

You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in your dedicated location, partnering with your business stakeholders in order to be a trusted advisor, leading and guiding through strategic change and business initiatives. This is a hands on role requiring a pro-active focus on employee relations activity to ensure a positive colleague journey.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

HR Service Delivery

In This Key Aspect Of The Role, You Will

  • Be responsible for the delivery of a customer-focused high quality and effective HR Advisory Service from start to finish (to a successful resolution), ensuring behaviours are in line with the employee value proposition, and risks to the business are minimised.
  • Coach and mentor HR Advisors on complex/sensitive employee relations and/or take the lead on cases once they escalate beyond their role scope, along with providing cover for the HR Advisory team at other locations as and when required.
  • Influence and coach managers on complex/sensitive employee relations, whistleblowing, and employment tribunal cases from start to finish - identifying the root cause and solving for the immediate, but also for the future, seeking guidance from the wider HR Team as required to ensure the business operates in a safe, fair, and equitable manner.

  • Proactively build and maintain strong professional and effective working relationships to ensure the business has the appropriate level of support to deliver a seamless and first-class employee experience that drives performance.
  • Support organisational design activities such as job evaluation and salary benchmarking, restructures, redundancies, acquisitions, TUPE initiatives.
  • Ensure performance conversations, promotions, reward and recognition, talent and succession planning initiatives happen across the business.
  • Support the calibration and moderation processes across the business to ensure consistency and fairness; coaching managers to ensure structured feedback on performance is given to their teams through the performance review processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review engagement survey results, identify focus areas and create and implement local action plans to address improvement areas.
  • Support implementation and adoption of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Wellbeing initiatives within Cabot Group, including signposting colleagues and managers.

Knowledge & Experience

You will require:

  • Extensive HR generalist experience in providing advice and solutions independently through a commercial lens.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to challenge, influence and direct the business confidently, as well as being able to adapt to different styles and surroundings demonstrating variety and agility of thought.
  • Experience of developing and supporting organisational change programmes.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft-based applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified - working towards or equivalent working experience.

Wescot Credit Services is a Contact Centre working with several large UK banks, as well as Credit Card Providers, Energy, Telecoms and others to help recover debts owed to them by their customers.
