Senior HR Advisor ER

We are working with a leading IP law firm who are looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join their team for a maternity cover contract. Their office is based in central Southampton so you will need to be able to easily commute to their office, on a hybrid basis, with at least three days a week in the office.

You will be a key HR resource for this firm of c250, and be heavily involved with ER, Employment law matters, as well as learning and development, a full HR position for someone who enjoys variety.

On a day to day basis you'll be:

  • The firm's first port of call for UK employment law matters
  • Responsible for ensuring HR policies are current and up to date
  • Leading and managing ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, etc.
  • Managing onboarding, probation periods and assisting Partners and supervisors with queries around new joiners
  • Leading the delivery of inductions for new joiners
  • Working with trainee attorneys, ensuring their training and qualifications are on track
  • The central support point for trainees providing support and guidance and ensuring their wellbeing
  • Arranging events and initiatives around diversity, inclusion, and well being

To be successful in this role you will need CIPD level 5 (or higher), and have worked in a similar role with ER and employment law responsibility. This contract offers a salary of up to £45,000 per annum plus excellent benefits. Standard working hours are 9.00am - 5.00pm.
