About the Role
At DSV, we’re building the world’s leading logistics and transport network. As part of our growth, we’re seeking a talented HR (People & Organisation) Business Partner to join our Air & Sea Division in the UK. This pivotal role involves:
- Managing a small team
- Partnering with senior leaders across multiple UK sites
- Providing strategic HR advice and guidance
Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and managers, offering expert HR guidance to align with business objectives and people priorities.

Develop your team to ensure a high-quality, consistent, and commercially focused HR service is delivered across the business.

Support and oversee organisational initiatives, including:
- Restructures
- TUPE transfers
- Organisational change
- Integration activities (to support growth and transformation).

Act as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters, ensuring:
- Risks are managed effectively.
- Advice aligns with employment law and company policy.

Partner with leadership to:
- Identify workforce needs.
- Develop succession planning.
- Support talent management, apprenticeships, early careers, and leadership development.

Represent the business in union consultations and employee forums where necessary.

Own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of:
- HR policies
- Procedures
- Practices

Champion a high-performance culture by supporting and developing managers to lead their teams effectively, including:
- Coordinating targeted training initiatives.

Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager to:
- Oversee recruitment.
- Align programs with workforce planning and business needs.

Lead and support HR projects and people initiatives such as:
- Succession planning
- Employee engagement
- Talent experience
- Continuous improvement activities.

Assist the HR Senior Manager with strategic priorities, providing HR leadership where required.
Requirements
Applicants should possess strong experience ideally including:
- Proven track record as an HR Manager or senior HR generalist, particularly in a multi-site or unionised environment.
- Strong background leading HR activity and delivering business-focused people solutions.
- Sound knowledge of:
- Employment law
- Employee relations
- HR best practices, with the ability to apply this confidently in a commercial setting.
- Experience supporting large-scale organisational changes involving:
- TUPE processes
- Restructures
- Business integration.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to build relationships across all levels, including:
- Trade unions.
- Employee representatives.
- Commercially minded, balancing operational priorities with workforce needs.
- Previous qualifications preferred: CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 (or equivalent).
- A customer-focused attitude with professionalism, discretion, and a strong attention to detail.
