Senior Case Consultant – Employee Relations (ER) & Case Management

Our HR Case Management team plays a crucial role in supporting leaders through complex Employee Relations (ER) challenges, ensuring fair, consistent, and high-quality outcomes.
We are looking for a Senior Case Consultant to join our specialist team—a unique opportunity to drive change across high-impact people matters and build strong relationships within the organisation.
About the Role
This isn’t just case management. You’ll have the chance to:
- Shape outcomes in complex, business-critical situations such as conduct and performance, whistleblowing, and workplace disputes with pragmatic, risk-based advice.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing decisions with confidence and credibility.
- Coach and empower managers in handling people matters, building capability and confidence.
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying trends and refining operating models to enhance consistency and colleague experience.
- Play a key part in our evolving ER service delivery, fostering ownership and a seamless approach.

Contract & Working Arrangements
- 12-month Fixed Term Contract
- Hybrid work model, though attendance at quarterly collaboration events (London, Swindon, or Glasgow) will be required.

Key Responsibilities
You will manage end-to-end ER caseloads, with a focus on high-risk cases, including:
- Conducting investigations, hearings, and appeals
- Handling whistleblowing and other sensitive matters
- Providing pragmatic, risk-based advice as a leadership trusted advisor
- Leading manager training, ER surgeries, and capability development
- Supporting a leaner, more progressive operating model by reducing handoffs and increasing ownership
- Identifying trends and improvement opportunities to enhance processes and outcomes
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a strong interpersonal impact. Ideally, your background will include:
✔ Deep knowledge of employment law, applied with a practical and commercial mindset ✔ Extensive experience in complex ER case management ✔ Natural influencing and relationship-building skills, capable of challenging senior stakeholders while coaching them effectively ✔ Strong communication and report-writing abilities ✔ Attention to detail, balancing competing priorities and managing expectations ✔ Proactiveness in continual improvement and problem-solving
