Senior HR Business Partner – UK (Fixed-Term 1 Year)

We are seeking a passionate and highly engaged HR professional to join our team in a hybrid role (Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00) on a 1-year fixed-term contract.
WORKING PATTERN AND DURATION
- Hybrid role (Combo of office and remote)
- Mon–Fri, 0900–1700
- 1-year fixed-term contract
What You Will Do
Leadership
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development planning to the HR team
- Empower staff to enhance skill growth and performance
HR Strategy
- Collaborate with local management to develop, innovate, and implement HR strategies, policies, and best practices in line with:
- UK Business Strategy
- Global HR Strategy
- All relevant UK employment laws and regulations

HR Duties & Operational Support
- Handle employee relations, training, and organisational development for STERIS’s UK business leaders and team members
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with business goals
- Provide guidance on:
- Organisational design
- Workforce and succession planning
- Change management
- Analyze workforce metrics and trends to guide business decisions
- Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and performance
HR Initiatives & Leadership Communication
- As part of the EMEA HR team, recommend, contribute, and drive:
- New HR initiatives to add value to the UK business
- A two-way communication channel between:
- Local HR needs (UK) → Corporate Headquarters
- Corporate HR initiatives → Local implementation
Required Education & Experience

- HR experience in a commercial or manufacturing environment
- University degree or a professional HR qualification
- Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and local regulations
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed organisation
- Advanced computer skills
- Embrace of diversity and cultural differences
Travel Expectation
- 15–20% domestic travel
