Are you an MI & Analytics Analyst with experience of leading HR programmes?
The Senior Systems & MI Analyst will work within a Systems and Management Information team in a fast-paced and digitally driven HR Shared Service Centre. The main focus of the role is to scope, design and deliver system developments, defect management and where applicable take a lead role in the delivery of new HR systems, automation and HR technologies. In addition, the role will provide day-to-day system support and will play a key role in all aspects of system governance and data integrity; continually auditing and monitoring people data.
This is a customer-centric role, working in partnership with a variety of customers to understand key requirements and deliverables. You’ll need to challenge where appropriate and provide recommendations and technological solutions to provide a value-added service, meeting, and exceeding customer needs and delivering services in line with KPI’s. You will work as part of a close team with other HR Analysts and become a Subject Matter Expert for systems, Data and Analytics within the HR function.
This is a hybrid variable role requiring some weekly office presence in our Newcastle Upon Tyne hub.
What you will be doing:
- Working with key stakeholders within the business, identifying and documenting user requirements and producing the relevant specifications for enhancements, ensuring that business needs are translated accurately into system requirements.
- Accountable for the design, creation and delivery of HR reports and dashboards, including providing in-depth analysis to the wider HR Function and internal key customers and stakeholders.
- Support the Head of Systems & MI to ensure processes are fit for purpose and are continually reviewed to ensure high levels of customer service is maintained and team performance and efficiency is maximized.
- Provide recommendations including in-depth analysis on new reporting and dashboard requirements, enhanced system developments, software upgrades, and modifications.
- Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of HR systems & processes. Design and deploy automation wherever possible to improve overall efficiency across the HR function.
- Resolve second tier customer queries related to HR systems and Management Information whilst meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations within agreed SLAs.
- Lead, plan and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on system enhancements and defects, liaising with stakeholders, suppliers and developers to ensure on-time delivery and user satisfaction using the appropriate project methodologies.

What you’ll bring:
- Experience in leading HR programmes that are intrinsically linked to HR systems.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring end user team members in value-added service delivery, problem solving and technical solutioning.
- Provide efficiency solutions to the HR function, including automation.
- Proven track record of using strong analytical techniques and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of working on system implementations preferably in a HR context, including scoping requirements with customers and translating these into a clear, meaningful format for developers, creating and managing a test plan, carrying out testing and managing testing failures.
- System Administration experience, preferably in a HR context, including providing second line support for queries, managing more complex queries with third parties or internal IT department in accordance with agreed support SLAs, maintenance of background tables, user/security management and governance.
- Knowledge of management reporting tools, specifically Power BI, Power Automate, Smartsheet and advanced levels of Excel.
