We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior HSEQ Advisor to join our Consulting business a vibrant, inclusive community that celebrates our differences and makes a real impact across the UK.

The Role

Amey is the System Integrator Contractor on the Thames Tideway Super Sewer project designed to clean up the River Thames so plays a key role in protecting the natural environment.

As the Senior HSQE Advisor you will play a pivotal role in driving the continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards across this project. You will provide expert advice and guidance on HSQE matters to project teams, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards notably BS EN ISO45001, BS EN 14001 and BS EN ISO 9001, while promoting a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive the improvement of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) performance across the project.
  • Provide expert guidance to ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001
  • Deliver risk-based audits, inspections, and investigations
  • Provide assurance and oversight of Quality standards
  • Analyse data and trends to drive practical, innovative solutions
  • Champion best practice and embed a positive safety culture
  • Support bids and business growth with trusted HSEQ expertise

What you will bring to us:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Ideally Chartered (or working towards) IOSH/IRSM
  • Good knowledge of Quality management
  • Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation (incl. CDM)
  • Proven experience leading HSEQ incident investigations and audits
  • Background in Water, Utilities, or similar sectors
