Senior HR Advisor
Location: Leeds or Manchester (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join a dynamic and collaborative HR team, supporting a professional services environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong business partnering capabilities to work closely with key stakeholders, providing both operational HR support and strategic guidance.
Initially focussing on support for the fee-earning population, the role will evolve to include partnerships with Business Services functions, offering broad exposure across the organisation. It will provide a unique opportunity to contribute to people-focused initiatives that enhance business performance.
Responsibilities
HR Advisory & Business Partnering
- Build strong and effective relationships with managers and stakeholders across assigned business areas.
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance on policies, procedures, and people-related matters.
- Support managers with employee relations issues including:
- Absence management
- Occupational health referrals
- Disciplinary matters
- Grievances
- Employee requests
- Deliver practical, commercially-focused HR solutions aligned to business objectives.
- Act as a trusted HR partner, supporting leaders in achieving their strategic priorities.

Recruitment & Workforce Support
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition/Resourcing team on recruitment activities and workforce planning.
- Support headcount management and resource requests across the organisation.
- Assist with onboarding and integration of new employees.
- Support employee lifecycle activities, including:
- Apprenticeships
- Graduates
- Employee departures
HR Reporting & Analysis
- Produce and review monthly people reports in collaboration with HR analytics teams.
- Analyse workforce data and identify trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to managers based on workforce metrics.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to HR projects and people initiatives across the wider HR function.
- Support the implementation of new HR processes, policies, and best practices.
- Drive improvements to enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a proactive HR Advisory, HR Business Partnering, or generalist HR role.
- Strong employee relations experience and practical application of HR policies and procedures.
- Previous experience supporting managers within a fast-paced corporate, professional services, or similar environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated influence and effectiveness in communication with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CIPD qualification (part-qualified or fully qualified) is advantageous but not essential.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience preferred.
