Senior Human Resources Advisor
Senior HR Advisor (Part-Time, Permanent)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join one of our clients on a part-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solutions-focused HR professional to provide efficient generalist and/or specialist HR support across a complex organisation, advising managers and staff on a wide range of:
- Employee relations
- People matters
The role offers a salary of £39,906 to £46,049 per annum (pro rata) and is ideal for candidates with:
- Significant recent HR advisory experience
- Strong employment law knowledge
- Ability to manage a complex employee relations caseload
Key Responsibilities
- Providing an effective and efficient HR advisory service, offering both generalist and specialist support to staff and managers
- Delivering accurate, pragmatic advice on:
- Employee relations matters (e.g., discipline, grievances, conduct)
- Attendance and performance issues
- Coaching and guiding line managers on people issues, ensuring matters are handled appropriately, in line with policy, and best practice
- Maintaining and managing an HR and employee relations caseload, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of cases
- Contributing to strategic people priorities, HR projects, and task-and-finish groups aligned with organisational goals
- Supporting the development, review, negotiation, and implementation of:
- HR policies
- People processes
- Guidance materials
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, including:
- Senior managers
- Recognised trade unions
- (To manage expectations and support resolutions)
- Monitoring, interpreting, and analysing HR data to provide managers with relevant insights and information

About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (with substantial equivalent experience in a similar role)
- Significant recent experience as an HR Advisor in a large organisation, preferably one that recognises trade unions
- Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of employment law and its application across a broad range of HR issues
- Expertise in managing complex and extensive HR caseloads, including operational and employee relations matters

Key Competencies
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and IT proficiency
- Microsoft Office fluency required
