Are you passionate about shaping the future of energy? Our client, a leading player in the power industry, is seeking a Senior HV Cable System Design Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile transmission projects across the UK, contributing to innovative energy solutions.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead onshore and offshore HV cable FEED and detailed design works for major transmission projects.
- Support business growth by engaging with clients, identifying opportunities, and assisting in bid and proposal development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and project management, to deliver comprehensive project solutions.
- Attend site visits, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure project milestones are met.
- Mentor junior engineers and support internal capability development.

What you'll bring:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in HV cable system design, manufacture, testing, and installation.
- Familiarity with client standards such as National Grid, SPEN, and SSEN.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Business development mindset with experience supporting strategic growth.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Experience with commissioning on transmission/EHV scale projects.
