Senior Hydraulics Engineer - Contract Opportunity (Manchester Hybrid)

We are supporting a leading engineering consultancy in the water sector who are looking to engage an experienced Senior Hydraulics Engineer on an initial 4.5-month contract.

Working within a specialist water team, you will provide technical expertise across water and wastewater infrastructure projects, supporting hydraulic design, modelling, analysis and optimisation activities from concept through to delivery.

Key Experience Required:

  • Strong background within the UK water and wastewater sector
  • Hydraulic modelling and network flow analysis experience
  • Surge analysis / water hammer studies
  • HADES experience
  • Thermofluids knowledge
  • Understanding of UK water industry standards and regulations
  • Ability to produce technical calculations, reports and engineering deliverables
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Previous consultancy experience desirable

The Role

  • Deliver hydraulic modelling and analysis activities
  • Support the design and optimisation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Produce technical reports, specifications and calculations
  • Work closely with Civil and MEICA teams
  • Support construction and commissioning activities
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to deliver effective engineering solutions

Contract Details

  • Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
  • Duration: Initial 4.5 months
  • Start: August 2026
  • Hours: 47.5 hours per week
  • IR35: To be determined
