MNK International is an established specialist Lloyd’s of London (re)insurance intermediary headquartered in London. The firm is continuing to expand its operational capability through the appointment of a Senior IBA / Credit Control Technician. Outside the UK, MNK International operates through a network of international offices in Miami, Warsaw, Dubai (DIFC), Nairobi, Johannesburg, São Paulo, and Istanbul. The business is undergoing a significant phase of growth, with plans to launch two additional offices in LATAM during Q2 2026 and a broader pipeline of expansion across more than 10 further jurisdictions. MNK International forms part of the MNK Group, a fully independent global organisation comprising a multi-class wholesale P&C MGA platform, alongside a range of insurance and reinsurance businesses delivering tailored solutions to a dynamic international market.
The Role
The Senior IBA / Credit Control Technician will be responsible for the effective management of insurer and client accounts, ensuring the timely collection, allocation, and reconciliation of funds, while maintaining full compliance with FCA and Lloyd’s regulatory requirements. The role plays a key part in supporting cash flow performance and reducing aged debt, while acting as an important liaison between Broking, Finance, and Operations functions. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring accuracy in documentation, efficient processing, and robust adherence to client money regulations. This position is based in MNK International’s London office and reports directly to the IBA Director.

Key Responsibilities
IBA and Accounts Management Manage daily IBA activities including the preparation and review of statements, bordereaux, cash allocation, reconciliations, and insurer/client settlements Ensure accurate and timely posting of receipts and payments in line with internal controls Monitor and resolve unallocated cash and aged balances Prepare and review IBA reconciliations in accordance with FCA CASS 5 requirements Maintain accurate records across technical and financial systems Submit and manage risks via Xchanging systems (IMR) Support brokers with Lloyd’s and London Market-related queries where required
Credit Control Actively manage and reduce aged debt across a portfolio of insurers and clients Liaise with brokers, underwriters, and clients to resolve outstanding balances Prepare and review debt reports, highlighting risks and recommended actions Escalate complex or problematic accounts and recommend provisions where appropriate
Stakeholder Management Develop and maintain strong working relationships with brokers, clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders Act as a key point of contact for complex account queries and dispute resolution Support broking teams in collection strategies and client engagement
Process Improvement and Compliance Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and controls Support system enhancements and automation initiatives Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

Reporting and Analysis Produce regular management information (MI) on cash flow, aged debt, and performance metrics Provide insight into collection performance and potential risk exposure Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
Leadership and Mentoring Provide guidance and oversight to offshore or outsourced technicians Review team output to ensure accuracy and quality standards Act as deputy to the IBA Director, where required
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the specialty wholesale (re)insurance market Proven experience within a London Market FCA-regulated environment Strong knowledge of FCA CASS 5 client money rules Demonstrated experience in IBA and Credit Control, including insurer settlements Familiarity with Lloyd’s systems and processes, including IMR and bureau/non-bureau business Excellent reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACII) are desirable.
