Senior Education Immigration Adviser
Contract: Full time, Permanent

About the Role
This senior role offers the opportunity to manage key education-sector client relationships within Fragomen’s specialist UK Education Practice. You will provide strategic immigration advice, oversee casework, support colleagues, and contribute to business development across a range of UK immigration routes.
We are looking for a confident, commercially minded professional who can help strengthen client relationships and support the continued growth of the practice.
In this role, you will manage a varied caseload, support the delivery of high-quality immigration advice, and contribute to the effective running of the team. You will work as a senior member of the team in a collaborative style with your colleagues, provide guidance to junior team members, and support wider practice initiatives as required.
What Your Day Will Look Like
- Managing a portfolio of education-sector client accounts, acting as a trusted point of contact, and keeping clients informed of UK immigration developments affecting institutional compliance, students, staff, and recruitment
- Providing strategic and practical advice on UK immigration matters, including Student, Child Student, Skilled Worker, and sponsor compliance issues
- Maintaining, overseeing, and progressing client caseloads, ensuring work is delivered with accuracy, efficiency, and within agreed service levels
- Preparing and delivering regular WIP reports, client updates, and other management information as required
- Coordinating with paralegals and other team members to ensure transactional work is progressed effectively and client expectations are managed
- Taking ownership of your caseload and working with a high degree of autonomy, while dealing with escalating complex or sensitive matters appropriately
- Maintaining accurate and timely updates on Fragomen’s case management systems
- Taking responsibility for billing activity, including real-time billing, bill approvals, and prompt resolution of billing queries or rejections
- Leading on client escalations and helping to resolve issues in a commercial, solutions-focused manner
- Participating in client reviews; preparation of reports and meetings, and involvement in presentations and training (internal and external)
- Responding proactively to new enquiries and supporting the development of client relationships and wider business development opportunities
- Conducting legal research and keeping up to date with relevant UK immigration policy, guidance, and sector developments
- Supporting the development, review, and upkeep of client-facing templates, guidance materials, and team documentation
- Providing guidance, supervision, and feedback to junior colleagues, including reviewing work where appropriate and supporting their development

The Team
Join Fragomen’s UK Education Practice, a specialist team supporting a diverse portfolio of education-sector clients. Our work supports international boarding schools, colleges, universities, education recruiters, and private family clients with strategic and practical immigration advice across Student, Child Student, and Skilled Worker routes, as well as sponsor compliance, account management, and business development.
Based across our London and Sheffield offices, the team brings together experienced immigration professionals at different levels, creating a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, client service, and professional development are central to our work.
Essential Criteria
What We Are Looking For:
You must have:
- Experience working in the Education/Compliance sector
- Experience with the UK Immigration system and familiarity with Student/Child Student visa routes and Compliance
- Confidence in advising client stakeholders and developing business
- Experience in leading client calls/meetings, with a particular focus on student compliance and visa support
