Senior Industrial Engineer

Supply Chain Senior Industrial Engineer (Hybrid) – Boeing (UK)

Boeing Talent Acquisition is seeking a Supply Chain Senior Industrial Engineer to support Global Field Operations (GFO) Supply Chain Industrial Engineering in the UNITED KINGDOM.

This is a hybrid role, requiring occasional onsite work at a location selected by the hiring team, which may change in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, and analytical tools to optimise manufacturing engineering and service operations, driving operational improvements.
  • Independently develops data models, databases, and spreadsheets for statistical and operational research analysis, providing insights to leadership teams.
  • Ensures project delivery within budget, scope, and timelines, managing risks through structured methodologies (e.g., work breakdown structures, resource allocation).
  • Leads process improvements using Lean methodologies and advanced IE principles to enhance:
    • Schedule performance
    • Cost efficiency
    • Quality assurance across large-scale systems and asset utilisation.
  • Applies mathematical modelling, simulation, and statistical analysis to optimise product design and work processes, maximising resource efficiency (facilities, personnel, materials).
  • Analyses and designs value streams, including:
    • Capacity and capability planning
    • Supplier selection and risk assessment
    • Supplier performance evaluation
    • Logistics and workflow optimisation (e.g., critical path optimisation, critical path lead-time, transportation, factory layout).
  • Supports product realization teams during all lifecycle phases, ensuring robust and compliant designs that meet programme requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Aerospace, or a related field).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of working time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Aerospace, or related field).

Note: Experience and education can also be gained through advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience as an alternative.)
