Senior Information Developer/Technical Writer - Tech Comms System IP

Staff Technical Writer – System IP Technical Communications Team

Job ID: 2025-16174 Date posted: 04/05/2026 Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom Category: IT

About the Role

Arm’s Systems Engineering team delivers hardware designs for Arm System IP – a family of interconnect, memory, and system-level components that enable the efficient integration of Arm processors and other IP blocks into SoCs (Systems on Chip). Essentially, it provides the "glue" connecting processors, accelerators, memory controllers, and peripherals to create a fully functional system. The System IP Technical Communications team supports this critical work by producing documentation for all Arm System IP and the IP Tooling software platform used for configuration.

As a Staff Technical Writer, you’ll play a senior leadership role within the team, driving content strategy for System IP projects, and guiding documentation from planning to deployment. You’ll deliver impactful content to enable our partners to harness the full potential of our products while also fostering mentorship and people leadership. This role balances documentation excellence with influence over product milestones and customer success initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and maintain clear, user-centric documentation for System IP hardware designs and the IP Tooling platform software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to capture, validate, and refine complex technical information
  • Manage multiple documentation tracks across concurrent IP projects, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy
  • Lead and mentor other Information Developers, supervising content planning, review, and production processes
  • Define and implement scalable documentation standards, including structures, templates, and review workflows
  • Drive innovation in authoring tools and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Advocate for content excellence, shaping documentation strategy for System IP projects and influencing the broader Technical Communications group

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
