Level 2 IT Engineer

We are looking for a skilled, hands-on Level 2 IT Engineer to join an established team based in the heart of Nottingham. In this role, you will bridge the gap between core network infrastructure and luxury automated entertainment systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Configure enterprise-grade local area networks (LANs), virtual local area networks (VLANs), secure firewalls, routers, and high-performance wireless access points designed to handle heavy media streaming and automation traffic.
  • Integrate complex smart home automation, lighting control, multi-room audio, and Video-over-IP distribution systems onto the client network.
  • Act as the primary escalation point (Level 2) for complex hardware, software, and networking issues, providing efficient troubleshooting both remotely and on-site.
  • Oversee or assist with clean network rack layouts, structured cabling standards, hardware labeling, and the creation of accurate as-built system documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date, secure firmware across all network-connected devices, switches, routers, and control processors to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
  • Work closely with project managers, field technicians, and system programmers to ensure smooth deployment phases and client handovers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
