Senior Information Technology Specialist

IT Systems, Cyber & Infrastructure Lead 📍 North Somerset, UK 🔒 SC Clearance required 💰 £45k - £65k + Excellent Benefits

Our client, a growing and innovative Defence Technology and Engineering SME, is seeking an experienced IT Systems, Cyber & Infrastructure Lead to take ownership of its internal technology environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and develop a complex IT estate supporting both business operations and cutting-edge technology projects.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, security and continuous improvement of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring systems remain reliable, secure and scalable as the business continues to grow.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of: Microsoft 365 (E5) environment Azure cloud platform Fortinet network infrastructure Windows and Linux systems Cyber security and access controls Infrastructure governance and documentation Line management and development of an IT Technician

Key Requirements Proven experience as a Senior IT Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure Lead, IT Manager or Technical Lead 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support experience Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and enterprise infrastructure Experience managing networks, firewalls, VPNs and access controls Good understanding of cyber security best practices and frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, IASME or ISO27001 Exposure to Windows and Linux environments SC clearance required
