Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Senior IAM Engineer (Aerospace, Defence and Security)
Do you have a proven track record working in IAM Engineering?
Sopra Steria’s Aerospace, Defence and Security sector are recruiting for an experienced Senior IAM Engineer to support in delivering an IAM strategy for a flagship account. This role is critical for the team in both IAM ticket management and high-profile, large-scale European projects within the aerospace industry. If you are looking to advance IAM strategy and project execution in this sector, this key role could be for you.
Role Summary
- Location: Newport (office-based, ~4 days per week)
- Security Requirement: Limited to British nationals eligible for SC clearance
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: Up to £55,000
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the IAM Team with an engineering focus (80% hands-on, 20% leadership)
- Serve as the focal point for escalations within the team
- Maintain a customer-focused approach, balancing general IAM ticket management and project support
- Directly engage in motifywide, one-of-a-kind projects

Your Skills & Experience
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience with Exchange 2010/2016 or equivalent email infrastructure
- Solid understanding of Forefront Identity Management (FIM)/Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)
- Hands-on experience with Exchange Cumulative Updates (CUs)
- Strong grasp of Group Policy (GPO) and Windows-based policy setups
- Knowledge of Mail Antivirus/Spam solutions (e.g., Trend Micro IMSVA)
- Advanced experience in Exchange and Active Directory (AD) monitoring/support
- Enterprise/Multi-Forest Active Directory expertise (enterprise-level scale)
- Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)
- Sch ehemalige with AD tools, services, environmental architecture, etc.
