Senior IAM Engineer

Location: Hampshire / various client sites depending on your location

Working Pattern: On-site / hybrid depending on client requirements

Type: Contract or Permanent

Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

Tektora are supporting an established SME who are looking to speak with SC Cleared Senior IAM Engineers for opportunities across Hampshire and surrounding client sites.

This role would suit someone with strong Microsoft infrastructure, Active Directory, Exchange and Identity & Access Management experience who has worked across secure, defence or MoD environments. You will be supporting a high-profile programme focused on building and configuring a new secure domain within a complex infrastructure environment.

The Role

You Will Be Involved In

  • Implementing IAM infrastructure designs across secure environments
  • Supporting the creation and configuration of a new domain
  • Working across Active Directory, Exchange and virtualised infrastructure
  • Configuring directory services, trust relationships, group policies and authentication mechanisms
  • Integrating IAM components with existing infrastructure and third-party systems
  • Supporting security hardening, compliance and infrastructure automation
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting and optimising IAM, AD and Exchange services
  • Producing technical documentation and handover materials
  • Working closely with infrastructure teams, vendors and client stakeholders

Key Experience Required

  • Active SC Clearance
  • Strong MoD, defence or secure environment experience
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Active Directory at enterprise or multi-forest scale
  • Strong Microsoft Exchange experience, ideally Exchange 2010 / 2016 or similar
  • Understanding of Forefront Identity Manager or Microsoft Identity Manager
  • Experience with Exchange CUs
  • Strong understanding of Group Policy
  • Experience monitoring Exchange and AD services
  • Single Sign-On and PKI experience
  • PowerShell scripting and reporting experience
  • Knowledge of VMware and virtualised environments
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
  • Understanding of DNS, domain controller installations and migrations

  • MECM / SCCM experience
  • Knowledge of Postfix or Sendmail
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCP, MCITP, MCSE, MCSA or MCTS
  • PingFederate experience
  • Cisco IronPort or Cisco ESA experience
  • FortiMail experience
  • Enterprise Vault experience
