Senior Infrastructure Specialist (z/OS Mainframe Db2 DBA)
Salary: £84,051 – £93,390 Location: London Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week) Working Pattern: Hybrid (minimum two days per week on-site)

In this role, you will deliver sophisticated technical support for z/OS mainframe Db2, focusing on:
- Maintaining services in line with Group standards and SLAs, including out-of-hours support.
- Technical support and incident resolution for complex environments (with out-of-hours requirements).
- Key ownership of Db2 technical assessments, query optimisation, and performance tuning to ensure service stability and availability.
What You’ll Do
- Provide expert support for complex mainframe environments, meeting strict deadlines.
- Shape strategy and design for mainframe development and test estates.
- Lead the z/OS Db2 technology roadmap, collaborating with stakeholders on execution.
- Standardise processes, drive efficiency initiatives, and ensure adherence to governance.
- Work across Lab & Platform teams to develop, promote, and implement process improvements.

What You’ll Need
✅ Extensive, in-depth expertise in Db2 on z/OS, including:
- Performance monitoring & SQL tuning (buffer pool tuning, stability analysis).
- DDL governance, schema evolution, and change control.
- **Troubleshooting critical on-line systems.**📌 Binge-watching system dumps is required. :vampire:
- Technical communication skills—explaining complex concepts to senior leadership.
- Mentorship experience—coaching juniors on Db2 fundamentals, operational processes, and best practices.
