About the Role
We are looking for a proven Senior Insurance Advisor to join our newly created position in London. In this exciting role, you will:
- Ensure the implementation of group insurance programs
- Act as an insurance advisor for the operative business of the STRABAG Group in the United Kingdom
- Support a rapidly growing Group Country, offering an international work environment at the interface of construction and insurance
You will be part of the international insurance organization of BRVZ / Insurances, a network with offices in 15 countries.
Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Support the operative business of the STRABAG Group in the UK in terms of insurance
- Implement, use, and service local policies of international Group Insurance programs
- Work with international departments of BRVZ Insurance to handle placements of large and mega projects, as well as special risks outside annual group covers
- Act as a link between:
- Operaive business teams
- UK insurance brokers
- The international insurance team (your direct organizational reporting point)

Claims & Compliance
- Take an active role in insurance claims, including:
- Communicating with involved parties to collect required information
- Ensuring proper reporting to insurers
- Liaising with other departments (e.g., legal, health and safety) as needed
- Processing claims in the internal IT system
Market & Business Development
- Actively contribute to maintaining and expanding business relationships with the UK insurance market
Regulatory & Administrative Support
- Maintain a professional understanding of local insurance laws and regulations
- Liaise with international departments on compliance matters
- Administer premium payments and process insurance documents in the internal IT systems
Strategy & Governance
- Participate in the implementation of special insurance-related projects, procedures, and guidelines
- Ensure alignment of operational insurance activities with the strategic goals of the organization
- Maintain compliance with insurance regulations and recommend best practices
- Contribute to reviews and modifications of policies and processes to uphold compliance
- Drive the STRABAG Group’s insurance management in line with global insurance directives

Requirements
Experience & Expertise
- A proven 3+ year record (preferable in the construction industry or insurance sector)
- Expert knowledge with Corporate Insurance Management
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills (internal & external partners, colleagues, managers)
- Empathetic interaction with stakeholders
- Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking, coupled with distinct problem-solving skills
- Highly target-driven personality, able to achieve set goals
- Detailed and diligent, with strong attention to compliance and process adherence
Professional & Technical Competencies
- Demonstrable understanding of legal concepts relevant to insurance
- Expertise with Office Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Desirable (but not compulsory): relevant professional qualifications or licensing
