Purpose of the Job
Bridging the gap between commercial ambition and exceptional member value. Responsible for the strategic development and delivery of our product roadmaps, maximising financial returns whilst remaining focused on the Consumer Duty and member satisfaction.
Managing the insurance products and taking ownership of the team's collective success. Responsible for nurturing a high-performing, inclusive team environment where diverse perspectives are celebrated, and every individual feels supported to succeed. This role depends on building transparent, honest relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring the Club’s financial services are integrated into all aspects of member offerings. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of financial services product roadmaps; performance and development. Gaining agreement to plans both internally and externally, delivering business cases, recommending (re)prioritisation, and ensuring resources are appropriate and well managed to meet member-focused goals.
- Lead, support, and motivate the IFS Product Team. Acting as a supportive mentor, managing resources effectively to ensure delivery of plans while creating a culture that encourages personal development.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships, communication, and collaboration with providers of Club products and services (whether branded, co-branded, or introduced) getting agreement to development plans and ensuring delivery of targets and plans.
- Develop relationships with external parties, stakeholders, and across the industry and markets, to the benefit of the Club, and act as a brand ambassador for Club financial services. Clearly demonstrating product value propositions to diverse audiences including potential policyholders, partners, and media channels.
- Develop strong working relationships within the Insurance and Financial Services (IFS) department and between IFS and other areas of the Club to ensure excellent communication, sharing of information, and collaboration.
- Align and integrate financial services products into other Club products and services to ensure maximum appeal, benefit coverage, and take-up.
- Own performance metrics, analysing market trends and member feedback, communicating insights openly to stakeholders, and delivering proactive improvements.
- Ensure all products, documentation, and customer outcomes are aligned with FCA requirements, showing that "Consumer Duty" is evidenced through every stage of the product lifecycle.
- Manage the accurate maintenance and adherence of financial services contracts and team records. Ensuring all policies and documentation are reviewed and updated regularly.
- Support the budget process and ensure alignment with third parties/partners and internal stakeholders to stretch volumes, revenues, and marketing plans.

Essential Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive experience within the financial services industry, with a deep understanding of market structures, product lifestyles, and the current competitive landscape.
- A track record of developing and motivating individuals. You should be an expert at fostering a culture of psychological safety where team members feel valued, supported, and empowered to share diverse ideas.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level. You must have experience managing complex third-party relationships and navigating "matrix" internal structures with diplomacy.
- Advanced knowledge of FCA regulations, specifically Consumer Duty. You must be able to translate complex legislation into actionable business processes, taking personal ownership of compliance and ethical delivery.
- The ability to transform raw data into a compelling narrative. You should be highly skilled at summarising recommendations and presenting them with passion to diverse audiences, from board members to media channels.
- Highly organised with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise team workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- A demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development. You are someone who explores new opportunities to overcome challenges and views every obstacle as a chance to grow.
- A strong understanding of the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s unique member base, goals, and organisational structure.
