About the FCA and team

We regulate financial services firms in the UK, to keep financial markets fair, thriving and effective. By joining us, you’ll play a key part in protecting consumers, driving economic growth, and shaping the future of UK finance services.

Enforcement & Market Oversight (EMO) is responsible for the FCA’s responsibilities for market monitoring, delivery of the functions of the UK Listing Authority (UKLA) and the investigation and prosecution of misconduct using the whole spectrum of criminal, civil and administrative sanctions and remedies against firms and individuals.

Sitting within the Enforcement & Market Oversight Division, the Enforcement Intelligence and Specialist Services (EISS) Directorate provides strategic expertise, intelligence capabilities, and operational support across enforcement functions, strengthening the FCA’s ability to detect harm, deliver effective investigations, and uphold market integrity.

  • Leading and supporting work to improve the quality, consistency and effective handling of intelligence logs, records and related information, identifying issues and helping to strengthen guidance, communication and ways of working
  • Supporting the development and embedding of proportionate approaches, standards and good practice to improve the accuracy, consistency and management of intelligence
  • Some involvement in reviewing and maintaining data sharing agreements related to intelligence with external partners
  • Undertaking line management responsibilities for two junior members of staff, guiding and leading them to drive performance and achieve team goals

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
