Ci Design, Inc. (Ci) seeks dynamic and vibrant professionals who can share their unique talents and make their mark within our growing and highly collaborative architectural firm.
Role Overview
The Senior Interior Designer works closely with the Interior Design Project Managers to provide design and coordination in the design, development, and delivery of various projects. This position requires the ability to lead the design process and provide general design management to complete work as scheduled within project parameters, to recognize and resolve moderately complex problems, and communicate effectively with the design team, senior staff, and clients, adapt to changes and elect the most effective methods of accomplishing tasks. In addition, this position requires a thorough understanding of current design trends and a high level of experience using Revit, InDesign, & Photoshop software.
Responsibilities
- Establishes project schedules, deliverables, and defines necessary staff resources.
- Assists and leads the ideation, conceptualization, and schematic design development of various commercial interior design projects.
- Coordinates design deliverables with various professional services including Architectural, MEP, and Lighting consultants as applicable throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Follows project schedule and standard drafting practices, and reviews standard reference sources to accomplish design intent, and concise construction documents.
- Reviews completed drawings for conformance to project program, specifications, approved practices, standards, and building codes as applicable governing the design work.
- Performs Construction Administration, reviews RFIs, project submittals, and performs project site visits as needed.
- Manages, mentors, and leads junior interior design staff during all phases of work as applicable for each project.
- Serves as contact liaison with the client and project team, ensuring project completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
- Actively participates in client and project meetings and offers design and technical recommendations regarding design/development of projects.
- Meets project schedules and maintains positive relationships with clients and the Ci Design project teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design/interior architecture from a CIDA accredited College or University.
- 8+ years related experience with multifamily, commercial, and/or hospitality projects.
- NCIDQ Certified and Licensed or Certified Interior Designer or on track for professional licensing.
- Proficient in Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Ability to multitask, work as part of a team and work independently on multiple projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Versatile, self-motivated, articulate, and collaborative.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong resume with desire of continued professional growth.
- Additional graphic and 3D software capabilities are a plus.
