About the Role
The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for planning and delivering risk-based internal audit assignments across the Bank. The role provides independent assurance over the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls while supporting the Bank in meeting its regulatory obligations and strategic objectives.
The post holder will lead individual audit engagements, supervise junior team members where appropriate, and build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.

- Plan, execute, and report on risk-based internal audit assignments in accordance with the annual audit plan and Internal Audit methodology.
- Lead audit engagements from planning through to reporting, ensuring work is completed to a high professional standard and within agreed timescales.
- Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across business and support functions.
- Identify control weaknesses, emerging risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Prepare clear, concise, and evidence-based audit reports with practical recommendations agreed with management.
- Monitor the implementation of agreed audit actions and validate the effectiveness of remediation.
