About the Role
Audit & Risk Recruitment are partnering with a prestigious, global investment firm, in their search for a Senior Internal Auditor to join their established Internal Audit function. Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, you'll deliver risk-based audits and advisory engagements across a diverse European portfolio spanning Real Estate, Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, Private Equity and Insurance.
Responsibilities
- Operating across multiple sectors globally, this role offers you the opportunity to work within a collaborative international audit team, partnering with colleagues across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia.
- You'll help strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls across a varied and growing portfolio.
- You will have the opportunity to lead end-to-end internal audits, from planning through to reporting, producing high-quality workpapers and presenting commercially focused recommendations to senior stakeholders, including the C-suite.
- You will also contribute to risk assessments, annual audit planning, portfolio company oversight, remediation tracking and wider global Internal Audit initiatives.

Requirements
- The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of UK experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk or Internal Controls, alongside a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CPA, CISA or CIMA).
- Big 4 experience and exposure to sectors such as Infrastructure, Real Estate or Energy is highly advantageous, as would knowledge of SOX, data analytics and IT controls.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a willingness to travel internationally (10-20%) are essential.
