Senior Internal Auditor – Insurance
Location: London
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 + Bonus
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
About the job
JSS are partnering with a leading UK insurance organisation on the search for a highly proactive Senior Internal Auditor to join their Internal Audit function.
This role will cover:
- Risk & Audit Planning: Conduct risk assessments and contribute to the annual risk-based Internal Audit Plan, ensuring appropriate coverage across underwriting, claims, finance, investments, operations, and regulatory functions.
- Audit Execution: Lead audits from planning through to reporting, assessing the design and operating effectiveness of key controls, and producing high-quality, actionable audit reports.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across underwriting, claims, finance, risk, compliance, actuarial, and operational teams to influence improvements and strengthen governance.
- Control & Process Improvement: Support the ongoing enhancement of the control environment by identifying opportunities for process improvements, sharing best practices, and promoting operational excellence.
- Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across Internal Audit and the wider business to strengthen risk management practices and enhance the effectiveness and profile of the Internal Audit function.

Please apply if:
- You are ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent qualified, with Internal Audit experience gained within the insurance sector or wider financial services (Big Four or professional services background preferred).
- You have experience auditing underwriting, claims, finance, investments, or operational processes within a regulated insurance environment.
- You possess a strong understanding of risk management, governance, and control frameworks within the UK insurance industry, including familiarity with FCA and PRA regulatory expectations.
- You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, regulated organisation.
