The Role: Senior Internal Communications Manager (FTC – 9 Months)
You’ll elevate our voice, turning complex ideas into engaging stories that inspire global colleagues to connect with Lloyd’s mission. This isn’t just updating policies or announcing changes—it’s shaping a culture where communication fuels trust, unity, and performance.
Your impact will be felt from leadership communications to town halls, from Employee Engagement initiatives to high-impact narrative framing.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Campaign Leadership
- Design and deliver corporate-wide internal campaigns that align with Lloyd’s strategy, scale, and values—cutting through noise to drive action and engagement.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders (including members of the Executive team) to transform complex initiatives into clear, compelling stories for colleagues worldwide.

Narrative & Content Creation
- Craft bold, coherent narratives—including content for the CEO and Executive leaders—to amplify Lloyd’s vision and inspire pride in purpose.
- Partner with leaders to boost visibility, ensuring employees understand and champion their role in delivering progress.

Leadership Advocacy & Talent Development
- Take a lead in planning and executing town halls, forums, and employee engagement campaigns—bringing leaders and teams together purposefully.
- Provide trusted, strategic advice to the Executive team on communication clarity, messaging, and impact.

Standards & Influence
- Establish standards, governance, and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality internal communications across global teams.
- Use data and insights to measure campaign effectiveness, iterate, and prove ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage relationships with agency partners to deliver executive-grade outputs.
- Champion creative thinking across the communications team, embedding a culture of strategic, innovative storytelling.

What You’ll Bring
Core Traits
You’ll thrive in Lloyd’s dynamic, fast-moving environment if you’re:
- A confident communicator, comfortable elevating complex ideas to engage diverse teams

- Collaborative but decisive—balances consultant-style agility with clear decision-making under pressure
Essential Experience & Skills
- 5+ years in internal communications, with proven success in:
- Leadership visibility strategies (designing forums, town halls, high-visibility updates)
- Strategic employee engagement (connecting strategy to team motivation)
- Technical expertise:
- Crafting direct, engaging narratives—able to simplify sophisticated topics for broad audiences
- Comfortable using digital engagement tools (e.g., MS Teams, Slack, email, newsletters, intranets) and content creation platforms
- Experience with measurement & analytics (tracking communication effectiveness, ROI)

- Strong sense of judgement, integrity, and collaborative leadership
- Passionate about an employee-centric approach to internal comms—understanding institutions as human systems
- Enthusiasm to drive creativity and fresh thinking—especially in how monitoring and strategy support Lloyd’s global networking model
