Join Team Purple. Join IFS. Job Description The role of Senior Internal Communications Specialist is a hands-on, delivery-focused, and reaches employees effectively. This role plays a critical position at the heart of a busy and fast-paced global Internal Communications team. Reporting into the Global Internal Communications Director, this role is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of internal communications across key channels, campaigns, and programs - ensuring content is delivered on time and is engaging, consistentpart in enabling internal communications at scale, with a strong focus on Viva Engage, video production, and performance reporting. The Senior Internal Communications Specialist will also support major moments such as Global Town Halls, internal campaigns, and always-on engagement initiatives. As a Senior Internal Communications Specialist, you can expect your role to typically involve some or all of the following: Support and continuously improve Viva Engage enablement, communities, channels, and content owners to drive meaningful engagement Provide guidance and best practice on community management to ensure Viva is used effectively across the organization Create, edit, and publish engaging content across internal channels, including posts, articles, and campaign materials Support the team internal editorial planning, ensuring a consistent and coordinated flow of communications aligned to business priorities Deliver support for key initiatives such as Global Town Halls and internal campaigns Manage and execute always-on engagement channels Provide video creation and editing support, enabling teams and leaders to produce impactful video content Support studio video and podcast production requirements for internal communications Track and report on internal communications performance, including Viva Engage analytics, Global Town Hall engagement metrics, and external perception platforms such as Glassdoor and Indeed Use insights and data to continuously improve engagement, content effectiveness, and channel performance Work closely with Internal Communications Managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality communications at pace Ensure all content is aligned with IFS tone of voice, messaging, and broader communications strategy Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will require: 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar environment Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create engaging and accessible content for a global audience A strong understanding of digital internal communications channels and how to drive engagement through them Experience working with collaboration platforms such as Viva Engage, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide and support colleagues in creating effective communications Basic to intermediate video creation and editing capabilities The ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements A proactive and organized approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality delivery The ability to work effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed organization Additional Information Essential Skills: • Experience in communications, employee engagement, or digital communications • Strong understanding of internal communications best practices and audience engagement techniques • Confidence working with content creation tools, including basic video editing tools • Fluent English. Additional languages are beneficial Desirable Skills: • Experience managing or supporting Viva Engage or similar enterprise social platforms • Exposure to employer branding or external perception platforms such as Glassdoor or Indeed • Experience supporting large-scale internal events or campaigns (e.g. town halls, global activations) • Familiarity with content design tools (e.g. Canva, Clipchamp or similar)
