About The Role

As the Senior International Tax Accountant, you’ll lead the global tax function, balancing compliance, strategy, and expansion support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with finance teams and advisors on tax strategy
  • Supporting international expansion with structuring advice
  • Maintaining robust tax processes and forward-thinking risk management

This pivotal role offers ownership of a critical function in a growing multinational business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead tax compliance: Oversee accurate and timely filings for:
    • Corporate tax returns
    • VAT/GST
    • Taxation and sales taxes across jurisdictions

  • Drive tax planning strategies, optimising the global position while ensuring full compliance with local regulations.

  • Manage customs and duties compliance, including import/export reporting.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual:

    • Tax provisions
    • Deferred tax calculations
    • Statutory tax disclosures
  • Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies and associated documentation.

  • Advise on international expansion, including:

    • Market entry assessments
    • Entity structuring
    • Ongoing compliance requirements
  • Oversee employment tax compliance, ensuring accurate payroll and social security obligations.

  • Monitor international tax legislation, assessing impacts and advising on emerging risks.

  • Build relationships with external advisors, auditors, and authorities as required.

  • Continuously improve tax processes, controls, and reporting for efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications

Required:

  • Professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Senior experience in international tax within a multinational or high-growth context
  • Specialist knowledge of:
    • UK corporate tax
    • Indirect taxes
    • Global compliance frameworks
  • Proven in:
    • Preparing tax provisions
    • Supporting statutory reporting
  • Transfer pricing expertise with real-world application
