Nest Invest Location: London (Hybrid working)

The Investment team is responsible for investing members’ contributions to grow their retirement savings over the long term. We’re building a culture that embraces innovation, leverages technology, and harnesses data-driven decision-making to deliver outstanding outcomes for our members.
About the Role
The Senior Investment Analyst works within the Long-Term Investment Strategy team and supports the development of Nest’s macroeconomic and financial market views. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining modeling frameworks, researching long-term investment opportunities and risks, and translating macro trends, market dynamics, and scenario analysis into practical investment insights for asset allocation decisions.
The role demands expertise in:
- Combining quantitative modelling with economic intuition
- Strengthening the team’s analytical approach to improve decision-making robustness, consistency, and transparency
- Working seamlessly across data, macroeconomic research, and investment strategy
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain macroeconomic and financial market models for long-term investment forecasts.
- Conduct research into opportunities and risks across Nest’s active asset classes.
- Translate complex macroeconomic trends and market dynamics into actionable investment insights.
- Strengthen investment decision-making by integrating quantitative analysis and economic assessments.
- Support ongoing asset allocation and strategic decisions aligned with member goals.
- Collaborate with team members to build and refine analytical tools and frameworks.

Key Requirements
Experience & Expertise
- Multiple years’ experience in Macro research, investment strategy, markets analysis, or quantitative model-building.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of analytical modeling frameworks and translate insights into decision-making.
- Deep understanding of macroeconomic drivers and their impact on financial markets.
- Proficiency in data science and programming tools (e.g., Python).
Technical & Analytical Abilities
- Working knowledge of AI and machine learning techniques applicable to investment analysis.
- Ability to interpret data, refine models, and ensure predictive robustness.
- Strong quantitative aptitude combined with intuitive economic reasoning.
Soft Skills
- Highly analytical and intellectually curious, with a passion for macro- and market-related challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate findings clearly to different stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively.

- Asset allocation and portfolio risk management
- Manager selection and monitoring
- Responsible investment initiatives
- Investment technology and quantitative modelling
- Investment administration and communication
- Proposition development
