Senior Investment Associate -Energy from waste - up to £110 + bonus
Investment Professional – Infrastructure Investor (London)
Exclusively representing a well-capitalised international infrastructure investor seeking an experienced investment professional to join its London-based team.
This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a lean, high-performing investment platform, where you’ll take ownership of complex transactions from initial evaluation through to execution and ongoing portfolio oversight.
The business maintains an active pipeline of acquisitions and development opportunities across the energy transition and essential infrastructure sectors, including:
- Renewable energy
- Environmental infrastructure
- Resource recovery
This provides exposure to high-profile investments with genuine long-term impact.
The Role
Working closely with senior decision-makers, you’ll play a key role throughout the investment lifecycle, combining commercial analysis, financial modelling and transaction execution.

Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating acquisitions, greenfield developments, and strategic investments across energy transition and environmental infrastructure sectors.
- Building and reviewing sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions.
- Producing investment recommendations and presenting opportunities to senior stakeholders.
- Managing financial, commercial, legal, and technical due diligence alongside external advisers.
- Supporting negotiations with vendors, lenders, partners, and advisers throughout live transactions.
- Monitoring portfolio performance and identifying opportunities to enhance asset value.
- Collaborating with internal leadership and external stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- Contributing to strategic initiatives and supporting less experienced team members.

About You
Experience & Qualifications:
- 4–7 years’ experience in infrastructure investing, project finance, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a leading advisory setting.
- Proven ability to support or lead complex investment transactions.
- Expertise in advanced financial modelling and valuation.
- Strong commercial judgement with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
Industry Preference:
Experience in (or advising) businesses within:
- Infrastructure
- Renewable energy
- Waste and resource recovery
- Energy-from-waste (EfW)
- Water
- Utilities
- Broader environmental infrastructure
Evidenced experience in these areas would be a significant advantage.
