Senior iOS Application Engineer

Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Vanguard Personal Investor app. Your primary focus will be development of IOS applications and their integration with third party back-end services. You will be working alongside a team of engineers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential. In this role you will: As a Senior Mobile iOS Developer, you will: Help to create reliable applications for the IOS platform that makes investing simple and straight forward for customers You will be involved in the whole life cycle from suggesting new features to releasing the application Write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports. Employ software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation. Provide senior level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrate third party products & participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues Participate in systems analysis activities Understands client business functions and technology needs Understand Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with business area and systems Learn and aligns with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned Write programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation What it takes The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the team success through excellent software development contribution. We're looking for people who are passionate about providing outstanding service for our clients, understand how to translate business requirements into world class software products. You will also need to have: Proven experience in iOS development, with a focus on building and shipping high-quality consumer applications. Demonstrated ability to understand product goals and translate them into technical solutions that resonate with users. Advanced proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and familiarity with MVVM or other architectural patterns in iOS. Candidates should have hands-on expertise integrating backend services (preferably using Kotlin-based BFFs), and familiarity with modern observability tools like Honeycomb, Splunk, or Sentry. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Fastlane) is required.
