Senior iOS Engineer (AI-First) Location: London (King’s Cross) · Type: Full-time
Help Build the Future of Healthcare At Early we're building a beautifully designed health platform that brings early detection of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and kidney disease into the home. It combines electrochemical sensing, hardware, software, AI, and behavioural science to help people understand and manage their health. We're looking for an exceptional iOS Engineer to build the mobile experience at the heart of the Early ecosystem. This isn't a traditional app development role: we believe AI is fundamentally changing how software is built, and we want engineers who embrace that shift.
What You'll Do Build and maintain our native iOS app in Swift and SwiftUI, with modern concurrency Shape the architecture, performance, and quality of a consumer-grade health platform Work closely with designers, product managers, scientists, and backend engineers Integrate with connected hardware over Core Bluetooth, and surface insights through HealthKit Own features from concept through release and iteration Help define how AI-powered experiences reach users, and establish engineering best practices Contribute to Android development where beneficial

Our Engineering Philosophy We're an AI-first team. We expect engineers to use modern AI tooling as a core part of their workflow, not an occasional assistant, to accelerate development, improve quality, and focus on meaningful problems. We use Claude Code extensively across product development, and successful candidates will be comfortable in an AI-assisted environment, experimenting with new tools and continuously improving how we build.
What We're Looking For Essential Strong experience building native iOS apps, with excellent Swift and SwiftUI knowledge A track record shipping production apps used by real customers Experience with Health or another heavily regulated environment. Solid grasp of mobile architecture, testing, and performance optimisation Comfortable working across product, design, and engineering, with strong attention to craft Excited by AI-assisted development and comfortable using Claude Code
