The Role
You’ll join a newly formed team focused on Pricing, working in one of Depop’s core product areas. This cross-functional team collaborates with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, Machine Learning, and QA to create intuitive, data-driven experiences that simplify pricing and negotiation for both buyers and sellers.

Key Objectives:
- Enable sellers to confidently price items to sell faster and maximize earnings.
- Help buyers discover great value.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams to shape solutions and deliver outcomes.
- Drive pragmatic, incremental improvements in technology and application modernization.
- Foster a quality culture through mentorship, testing, and technical guidance—without a need for a managerial title.
- Influence technical direction through standards, design discussions, and leadership in ambiguous situations.
Technical Expertise (Required)
- Substantial production experience building iOS apps in Swift, with knowledge of:
- Memory management.
- Concurrency (async/await, actors) and state management in complex application flows.
- SwiftUI or UIKit, and MVVM-C (or similar) coordination patterns.
- Strong architectural judgment to balance short-term delivery and long-term decisions.
- Experience with backend integration (preferably via OpenAPI).
- Skilled in automated testing across layers: unit, integration, and app-wide tests (Swift Testing, XCTest).
Nice to Haves
- Experience in modern mobile CI/CD (Bitrise, GitHub Actions, merge queue workflows).
- Contributions to platform/core architecture, beyond your immediate domain.
