Purpose Of Job
Senior IT Analysts will communicate with the IT Lead Analyst, business, partner consultants and team members to determine the best solution to overcome business problems using technology systems and processes. Their role is to meet with business representatives to determine and understand current business issues and help identify, design and test processes to help solve problems. The successful candidate may also be responsible for identifying future business needs and pre-emptively planning for system integrations or changes.
This role will require interaction with all business functions, service providers and functional colleagues mainly at our Belfast site.

Responsibilities
Principal accountabilities:
- Provide a support role in the Design, Development and Deployment of specific applications and may mentor and guide others within project responsibility.
- Along with the IT Lead Analyst, identification, and generation of business cases for IT projects.
- Ensure projects are completed to a high-quality standard on time and within budget (up to £500K), solutions are fully documented, and knowledge transfer provided to the IT Implementation and Operational Run Teams.
- Analysis, development, testing and deployment of software to Short Brothers, a Boeing company standards.
- Application support if support is in-house, for the specific application.
- Govern all partners to ensure they are aware of and adhering to best practices and methodologies for the support systems using IT service desk procedures.
- Be the key interface with business users and management in areas of responsibility.
- Develop and manage the training of users in the use of specific applications.
- Support other staff involved in projects.
- Ensure participation in group projects, leading discussions, in areas of expertise contributing to high level solutions.
- Develop and expand IT knowledge and experience. This will include resolving issues of medium complexity working with team members to ensure an effective resolution is identified and implemented.
- Liaise with Boeing IT Teams at a global level to propose new IT standards and supporting tools and to ensure that the company IT standards are adhered to and maintained.
- Support of IT activities in specific areas for internal and external audits.

Qualifications
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Candidates Must
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant business related degree or equivalent qualification AND have extensive experience with IT Projects or Services, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in business analysis and / or application support within a specific expertise e.g. SAP, MAXIM, etc.
OR
- Candidates with lower-level relevant qualifications must have extensive experience with IT Projects or Services, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in business analysis and / or application support within a specific expertise e.g. SAP, MAXIM, etc.
