Our Team: How we enrich everyday life
You’ll be joining a small but highly impactful Technology Audit team at the heart of Bauer Media Group. We’re a collaborative, close-knit function of around nine people globally, working across the UK and Germany, and partnering with teams across Publishing, Audio and Outdoor.
This isn’t a traditional audit environment. We operate with a flat structure, minimal hierarchy, and a strong focus on efficiency and real impact. Everyone gets involved, works closely together, and contributes directly to delivering meaningful insight to the business.
We see ourselves as partners to the business, not just an assurance function. That means regular interaction with senior stakeholders, exposure to leaders across the organisation, and the opportunity to build relationships that truly shape how Bauer operates.
The Difference you will make
In this role, you’ll play a key part in strengthening Bauer’s technology and data risk environment. You’ll help ensure that our systems, processes, and controls are robust, efficient, and aligned to a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll have the autonomy to take ownership of audits end-to-end, bring fresh thinking, and influence how we approach technology risk. You won’t just follow a rigid audit plan — you’ll work flexibly across a wide range of topics, responding to where the biggest risks and opportunities are.
Your role
As a Senior IT Auditor, you’ll lead and deliver technology audit activities across the Group, working closely with stakeholders to assess risks, strengthen controls, and drive improvements.
- Planning and delivering end-to-end technology audit assignments
- Assessing IT controls across all lines of business
- Identifying risks and providing recommendations
- Engaging with stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Supporting data-driven audit approaches

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
