Senior IT Category Manager
Senior IT Category Manager
Wood is recruiting a Senior IT Category Manager to own the leadership and management of the IT category function across the group. The role involves driving and shaping category strategies to deliver tangible and sustainable savings, while providing exceptional service to internal customers.
This is a UK-based remote role, with candidates welcome from across the UK.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing an annual spend of approximately $250M across the Group.
Reporting into the Group Procurement leadership team, you’ll collaborate with senior business and functional leaders to:
- Develop and deliver category strategies
- Lead key strategic supplier relationships
- Drive procurement excellence across the business
Key Responsibilities
Leadership of IT Procurement
- Lead the IT procurement team in delivering excellence, value, risk reduction, and streamlining procurement processes
- Optimise technology environment geared towards complexity and scale
Supplier Relationships
- Work closely with strategic IT suppliers to align with group objectives
- Manage diverse procurement requirements and foster strong commercial partnerships
Value Creation
- Drive sourcing and contract management activities
- Continually identify and execute cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure all procurement activities support linking technology strategies to business goals
