About The Role
Synergi Tech is a professional, growth-focused IT Managed Service Provider based in Lincoln. We deliver structured, high-standard IT infrastructure and support services across the East Midlands and Yorkshire.
We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Field Engineer who takes pride in delivering work properly. This is a hands-on deployment role for someone confident implementing infrastructure in live business environments.
We are not looking for an architect or consultant - we are looking for a strong technical engineer who can deploy systems accurately, professionally and to documented standards.
What You Will Be Responsible For
You Will Deliver Infrastructure Deployments And Senior-level Support Across
- Lincolnshire
- Nottinghamshire
- Derbyshire
- South & West Yorkshire
- Surrounding East Midlands regions
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless)
- Implement VLANs and structured configurations from documented designs
- Install and configure Windows Server environments
- Deploy and manage Active Directory and Group Policy
- Implement and support Microsoft 365 environments
- Carry out infrastructure refreshes and hardware rollouts
- Deploy UniFi systems
- Install CCTV and access control systems where required
- Provide senior-level on-site troubleshooting
- Maintain high documentation and technical standards

Travel & Working Expectations
- Regular travel across East Midlands and Yorkshire
- Occasional UK-wide travel for larger deployments
- Overnight stays may be required for multi-day projects
- Company vehicle and fuel card provided
- All travel and accommodation expenses covered
When not on client sites, you'll work from our Lincoln office.
Office-Based Responsibilities
- Pre-configuring and staging equipment
- Stock management and hardware preparation
- Project preparation and documentation updates
- Assisting internal technical improvements
- Supporting other engineers where required
- Supporting clients via helpdesk and phone
This is a team-based role with expectations beyond site attendance.
Essential Requirements
- 4+ years' experience in an MSP or field-based IT environment
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, firewall configuration)
- Experience deploying Windows Server environments
- Active Directory and Group Policy configuration
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Comfortable working independently on-site
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional communication and client-facing confidence
Desirable
- UniFi deployment experience
- Firewall platforms (Sophos, FortiGate or similar)
- Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware)
- Backup and disaster recovery systems
- VoIP deployments
- Relevant certifications

Training & Development
We expect strong foundations, but we invest in our engineers. Structured training is provided across networking, Microsoft 365, infrastructure standards, and security systems.
Funded certifications are supported where aligned with business growth. We are building long-term capability, not just filling a seat.
