Employment type: Full time, Hybrid (50%)
The Job
The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of complex IT/Finance projects within AVEVA, with a particular focus on Oracle Fusion solutions. This includes:
- Leading full lifecycle Oracle Fusion implementations, upgrades, and enhancements across finance and operational modules.
- Managing relationships and integrations with MuleSoft and Oracle EPM.
- Providing expertise in managing large and complex IT projects.
The role requires experience managing large-scale transformation programmes, strong functional and technical knowledge of Oracle Fusion, and strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Analyse project proposals to determine time frames, funding limitations, and appropriate delivery processes.
- Lead end-to-end Oracle Fusion implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Manage a portfolio of large transformation programmes alongside smaller concurrent agile initiatives.
- Identify, schedule, and monitor project deliverables, milestones, and activities.
- Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and governance documentation.
- Provide guidance and motivation to project teams, including work plan oversight and duty assignment.
- Implement effective project communication plans, facilitating workshops, steering committees, and executive reporting.
- Perform risk assessments, maintaining RAID logs and implementing mitigation plans.
- Monitor project activities to ensure delivery aligns with agreed scope, cost, schedule, and quality standards.
- Align project goals with overall business objectives.
- Direct and coordinate project teams to ensure timely delivery within budget.
- Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
- Continuously benchmark project management performance and drive improvements.
- Manage relationships with external service providers and vendors.
Functional & Technical Oversight
- Oversee Oracle Fusion implementations across key modules:
- Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management)
- Procurement
- PPM
- OTL
- RMCS
- Subscription Management
- Ensure alignment with Oracle EPM modules (Planning, FCCS, ARCS, EPBCS).
- Coordinate integrations with MuleSoft and other middleware solutions.
- Ensure scalable, integrated solution design across:
- Finance processes
- Operational frameworks
- Performance management systems
- Support critical phases such as data migration, reporting, analytics, hypercare, and transition to Business As Usual (BAU) operations.

Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Finance, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven experience delivering Oracle Fusion projects as a Project Manager.
- Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion modules:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Cash Management (CM)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Procurement
- Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
- Order Management (OTL)
- Revenue Management and Contracts (RMCS)
- Subscription Management
- Exposure to Oracle EPM integrations and MuleSoft or similar integration platforms.
- Strong familiarity with Oracle AIM methodology, particularly for deliverables such as AN100 and MC050 documentation.
- Experience managing large-scale transformation programmes and deploying agile initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, stakeholder management, and people skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong influencing abilities.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Experience working in a political, stakeholder-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
Desirable
- Experience within a software or technology-led organization.
- Agile certification or advanced project delivery experience.
- Oracle Cloud certifications.
- Working knowledge of e-invoicing solutions (e.g., PEPPOL) and invoice scanning/OCR systems.
- Strong accounting or finance background.
- Experience with data migration, reporting, and analytics.

Hybrid Working
AVEVA operates in a hybrid model. Most roles are office-based with a requirement for 50% in-office attendance to facilitate collaboration and connection.
