About the Role
As a Senior Project/Programme Manager, you will lead the delivery of large, complex IT and technology projects and programmes for public sector and other clients. Your responsibilities span the full project lifecycle—from initiation to end-to-end delivery—ensuring successful outcomes in dynamic, multi-supplier and matrix environments.
You will provide executive leadership to multi-discipline and multi-supplier teams, foster a collaborative, high-performing culture, and engage with senior stakeholders to drive value and continual improvement.
Hybrid Working
This role will require a hybrid working model, blending:
- Company offices
- Client sites
- Home (though not exclusively from home)

Your Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT/technology projects and programmes, ensuring alignment with scope, quality, timeline, and budget.
- Provide strong leadership to multi-disciplinary and multi-supplier teams, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Develop and maintain project/programme schedules, manage risks, dependencies, and blockers, ensuring timely progression.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders, including senior decision-makers, to qualify alignment and project success.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency through agile methodologies and lessons learned.
- Manage projects within budgetary constraints, delivering accurate forecasting, value realization, and effective change control.
- Demonstrate commercial acumen, including proposal development and experience with various contract structures (e.g., Time & Materials, Fixed Price).
- Provide reporting and data-driven insights to support stakeholder communication and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure quality standards are met across all deliverables while adhering to timelines and deadlines.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative workspace, promoting employee growth and innovation.

Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience delivering complex IT/technology projects/programmes at a senior level, ideally in a multi-supplier/matrix environment.
- Strong ability to manage and coordinate projects from conception to completion, ensuring end-to-end alignment with business objectives.
- Deep understanding of agile project management and scrum/clare principles; familiarity with programme lifecycle methodology.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including engagement with executive leadership to secure alignment and support.
- Proven track record of motivating and guiding cross-functional teams to achieve high performance.
- Experience budget management, forecasting, and financial accountability, including P&L oversight.
- Strong risk management capabilities—identifying, assessing, mitigating threats, and ensuring issue resolution timely.
- Robust project planning skills, with an ability to develop dynamic, adaptable plans that guide delivery success.
