Are you ready to shape the future of integration at Severn Trent? We’re on the lookout for a We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to support an SAP ECC EHP7 to S/4HANA conversion under the RISE private cloud model. The consultant will play a key role in technical migration, system conversion, and post-go-live operations.
You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre Head Office in Coventry. You’ll work within SAP Apps team of around a dozen people all working on similar projects and pulling in the same direction. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday with out of hours support duties where necessary.

You’ll need to be naturally curious and detail-oriented, with strong planning and problem-solving skills. We value people who take initiative, spot areas for improvement, and follow through to make things better.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess ECC landscape readiness and prepare systems for S/4HANA conversion using SAP tools and validation checks
- Support S/4HANA architecture, sizing, and environment provisioning in line with RISE standards
- Plan and execute system conversion and database migration to SAP HANA, including rehearsals
- Manage transports and support code remediation (SPAU/SPDD) to ensure system consistency
- Configure and manage integrations with SAP BTP, middleware, and third-party systems
- Provide BASIS support for testing phases and lead cutover planning, including backup and recovery strategies
- Deliver post-go-live hypercare, system stabilisation, documentation, and handover to support teams
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, governance, and SAP RISE operational requirements
- Operate and support the live S/4HANA environment, including monitoring, incident management, releases, upgrades, and integrations
- Manage batch scheduling, job monitoring, and continuous improvement to optimise performance and operational efficiency
What You’ll Bring
- Strong SAP BASIS experience (ECC & S/4HANA)
- Experience with SUM DMO and HANA migration
- Knowledge of SAP RISE operating model
- Experience with transport and integration technologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work across teams and vendors
