Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior IT Support & Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. Overseeing our 42 care homes across the UK. This is a senior technical role responsible for supporting and developing a complex hybrid IT environment across a multi-site organisation. The successful candidate will act as the highest technical escalation point, providing expert support across Microsoft 365, infrastructure, networking, endpoint management and business-critical systems.
The role combines hands-on technical support, infrastructure management, project delivery and stakeholder engagement, ensuring reliable, secure and efficient technology services across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex IT incidents and problems across the organisation.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, licensing and permissions management.
- Manage endpoint and mobile device administration through Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, policy management and troubleshooting.
- Configure, maintain and troubleshoot networking infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs and site connectivity.
- Deliver infrastructure, cloud and Microsoft 365 projects from planning and implementation through to testing, documentation and post-deployment support.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to colleagues and junior team members.
- Liaise with suppliers, third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support business objectives.
- Support site-based technologies including access control systems, VoIP platforms and business-critical applications.
- Participate in business continuity activities, including occasional out-of-hours support and site visits when required.
