Senior IT System Support – Blue Yonder WMS Specialist
Grade: RCS Grade M
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Location: Coleshill, Birmingham – 5 days per week on-site at Hams Hall
About the Role

In this role as Senior IT System Support, you’ll deliver on-site IT configuration support for the Blue Yonder 2023 Warehouse Management System (WMS) while serving as a key customer liaison for all IT services impacting the site.
You’ll act as a strategic partner to our Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), driving efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement across the team. Whether you’re troubleshooting technical challenges during go-live phases, mentoring colleagues, or working with central IT teams, this role lets you make a tangible impact on logistics and operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Core Operational Duties
- Lead IT project delivery at site level, ensuring seamless integration with central IT functions and operational teams.
- Serve as the on-site WMS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide end-user support for IT systems and facilitate staff adoption.
- Coordinate change management and incident resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to warehouse operations.
• Technical & Configuration Focus
- Play a pivotal role in WMS projects, including report and label design, to streamline workflows.
- Work with SQL and reporting tools (PowerBI, VUE, and WMS-specific tools) alongside central IT to deliver data-driven insights.
- Contribute to WMS system upgrades by designing workarounds, troubleshooting, and applying configurable solutions.

• Stakeholder & Compliance Leadership
- Provide gold hand support across testing (TAT), UAT, and go-live phases, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Establish strong relationships with business partners and customers, acting as a bridge between IT and operations.
Requirements & Essentials
To excel as our Senior IT System Support, you’ll need:
- UIntensive experience in logistics, supply chain, or large-scale warehouse management environments.
- Proven expertise in Blue Yonder 2023 WMS, including system change requests, reporting, and interface configurations.
- Hands-on experience with:
- WMS configuration changes (e.g., label, report, exception processing)
- DL Link Integration with ERP/External Systems
- SQL & Business Intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, or WMS-native reporting)
- Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and resolve complex IT issues.
- Passion for enterprise systems, with soft skills to coordinate testing, training, and incident documentation.
