Hays are now looking for a Senior Java Developer for one of our local clients:
3322 p/d Outside IR35
3 days p/w in Glasgow, rest is WFH
6 month contract+
The Senior Java Developer will have strong back-end Java skills and React/JSF front-end experience to deliver modern web applications in an Agile environment.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and enhancing Java-based applications and services
- Building and supporting front-end components using React and JSF
- Delivering REST APIs and microservices
- Working closely with product, test and delivery teams
- Contributing to CI/CD, testing and continuous improvement

What we're looking for
- Java 8+
- Spring Boot / Spring MVC
- REST APIs and microservices
- JSF
- React
- JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS
- JPA, JSP, Servlets, JDBC
- Git
- Jenkins, Maven, JIRA
- CI/CD experience
- TDD and automated testing
- Web Accessibility (NVDA, WAVE, Accessibility Insights)
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Technical leadership and client-facing experience
