Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a remote-first engineering team building high-performance, scalable software solutions. The role focuses on designing and developing robust systems capable of processing large volumes of data while ensuring reliability and efficiency.
You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
Working with modern technologies and distributed systems, you will help solve complex technical challenges in a fast-growing digital environment.

Accountabilities
- Take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.
- Develop and maintain high-load systems using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design and implement solutions capable of processing large-scale data volumes, including hundreds of millions of records per day.
- Work with big data environments and optimize data processing workflows, including ETL system reliability improvements.
- Build, deploy, monitor, and maintain software products throughout the complete development lifecycle.
- Improve application quality through enhanced testing strategies, including increasing test coverage and reliability.
- Design and implement microservice-based architectures while supporting system scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve technical standards, processes, and development practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share technical knowledge within the team.

Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience working with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of backend development principles, software architecture, and computer science fundamentals.
- Experience working with databases and data storage technologies such as PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Hands-on experience building and scaling microservice-based solutions.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices, tools, and deployment workflows.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTTP, HTML5, client/server architecture, and security principles.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering best practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (B1+ level).
- Experience working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with international teams.
- Nice-to-have experience with AWS, ECS (Fargate), Spring Cloud, Spring Cloud AWS, iBatis/MyBatis, or Golang.
