Yaspa started in 2017 as ‘Citizen’, a company with the vision of connecting identity and payments. Over the years, our product offering has evolved and sometimes pivoted a little, but that focus has remained the same. We believe there is a sweet spot in the combination of payment and identity data that will dramatically improve payment velocity, security and consumer trust.

We use open banking to power real-time payments and instant verification. For operators, that means lower costs, stronger security, and faster growth. For customers, it’s a simple, seamless experience every time.

In June 2025 we were delighted to announce Series A led by Discerning Capital, which will ensure our growth continues not just across Europe but also entering the US market.

The role

We’re looking for a talented Senior-level back-end developer to join our London based squad to work on our payments platform that’s powered by open banking, as well as our safer iGaming platform. You’ll help to improve our existing payments based offering, playing a key role in helping the company move from its startup roots to cement its position as an enterprise grade financial platform.

We want exemplary developers, ideally familiar with building enterprise systems, who can work in a fast paced environment within an agile team; who understands how IT systems are built and managed. You’ll be joining a tight-knit multidisciplinary team of front-end and back-end developers; testers; UX and product - reporting directly to the CTO. Experience in any of the following industries is a plus: financial industry, open banking, iGaming, startups, or enterprise companies performing real time processing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Quarterly socials - The Yaspa team is fun and curious, so we make sure we get together to go-kart, throw darts, play board games and generally enjoy ourselves!

  • Generous holiday allowance - As well as all the UK public bank holidays, you get 28 days of holiday to enjoy and take as you’d like. Emails off, sunnies on!
