🚀 Senior Java Developer
📍 London | Hybrid Working | Financial Services / FinTech
I’m currently partnered with a fast-growing fintech business that is looking to make a key senior engineering hire as they continue scaling their platform and technology function.
If you enjoy building scalable systems, solving complex technical challenges, and want the chance to influence a growing engineering team from an early stage - this could be a fantastic opportunity.
💻 The Role
- Design and develop scalable backend applications and microservices
- Help drive technical architecture and engineering best practices
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and product teams
- Contribute to platform scalability, performance, and reliability
- Mentor developers and help shape future team growth
- Play a key role in the long-term engineering strategy of the business

🛠 Tech Environment
- Java 11+
- Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Microservices Architecture
- REST APIs
- Maven & Git
- JUnit / Mockito / Spock
- Cloud-native engineering practices
- Strong focus on clean code, scalability, and modern software engineering principles
✅ What They’re Looking For
- Strong commercial Java development experience
- Experience building enterprise-grade backend systems
- Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices
- Financial services, fintech, trading, or regulated industry experience!
- Someone who enjoys ownership and wants to progress into leadership
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- 3-days in office, hybrid working
