Senior Java Software Engineer
Cardiff – 3 days a week onsite
Salary up to £68,000 pa + up to 20% annual bonus
Established FinTech in Cardiff have an opportunity for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join growing team.
As part of a collaborative Agile engineering team, you'll work on a mix of greenfield development and product enhancements, helping shape scalable, high-quality solutions while influencing engineering best practices.

Role:
- Developing REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Building robust, scalable backend solutions in an Agile environment
- Contributing to automated testing, CI/CD and end-to-end feature delivery
- Collaborating with Product Owners and mentoring junior developers
Skills / experience:
- Commercial experience with Java (8+) and Spring Boot
- Strong SQL skills (Postgres or Oracle preferred)
- Experience with Git, Jenkins (or similar CI tools) and automated testing
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable code and solving complex problems

Nice to have:
- Docker, AWS/Azure/GCP, React or Angular, Selenium/WDIO, Financial Services experience, or exposure to AI-assisted development.
